Born in Omaha, 1985. In 2016 Alex Matzke moved home to focus on supporting family. Since then she has continued documenting long ­term projects including migrant labor and the fight against KXL, as well as teaching photography to newly resettled youth. She has also returned to welding and is pursuing an industrial welding certification.
