Katinka Herbert is a commercial portrait photographer. She is fascinated by characters who visibly manufacture their own identities: wrestlers, cross-dressers, movie stars and burlesque dancers.Brought up among filmmakers and circus performers, her work explores the construction of surface and identity. She is currently a finalist in the Sony World Photography Awards, 2020.
